Interior Architecture: Matthew Sapera Fine Homes
On this cul-de-sac, steps from downtown, devoted neighbours take turns caring for a flower garden at the end of the street. This semi-detached home was in need of similar devotion when its owner approached us to restore and improve it.
All rooms on the main and second floor were stripped down and re-built with classic moldings and trim. Vintage doors and windows were salvaged and re-incorporated. An outdated sunroom at the rear was completely re-built and now serves as a year-round retreat -- flooded with sunlight, warmed by in-floor heating and a stone-fronted gas fireplace. Upstairs, the principal bedroom enjoys a new ensuite and terrace above the sunroom.
