Architecture: Matthew Sapera Fine Homes
An in-fill site in an established Toronto neighbourhood presented many opportunities and one main challenge: how to design a substantial new home with modern amenities which compliments the older homes around it.
On the outside, a rubble-stone facade and covered porch integrate the home with its neighbours. Inside, over 7,200 square feet on three levels include 6 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms and large entertaining and family spaces. Light flows in from several sets of French doors and multiple sky-lights. The classic interior includes quarter-cut oak floors, panelled walls, wainscotting and soft paint colours.
